The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in power within the city.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of heroes who will split off from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might seem unsuited, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.

The antagonist then cleared his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could assist the party reach locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the family.

This leaves them no alternative but to head to the remote area in search of the traitor.

Future Episodes

According to episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Seekers and Strategists tables.

Audiences can anticipate finding out which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on October 24.
